POINT FORTIN MAYOR URGES RESIDENTS TO GET VACCINATED.

Point Fortin Mayor, His Worship Councillor Kennedy Richards Jr. is advising residents of Point Fortin to get vaccinated in order to be protected against contracting any influenza during the current Flu Season which ends in May this year.

Mayor Richards, echoing statements from the Ministry of Health, is encouraging those in vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, and adults over 65, to get the flu vaccine.

There are three (3) Government Health Institutions in Point Fortin where vaccinations can be performed; The Point Fortin Area Hospital, Point Fortin Health Centre and the Guapo Health Centre.

“Point Fortin has allegedly already tasted death associated with the current influenza.  Any amount of death more than zero, is too much for our community, therefore, we are currently over limit”, the Mayor stated.

Point Fortin Area Hospital: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays 8am – 1pm

Point Fortin Health Centre: Tuesdays & Fridays 8am – 3pm

Guapo Health Centre: Wednesdays 8:30am – 1pm
