It was all smiles, hugs, kisses, laughter, food, drinks and music at this year’s Point Day Picnic in Brooklyn New York.

From early as 1pm in scorching sunshine, tents were erected with accompanying drinks and food while the music was being set up.
The event provides an opportunity for family and friends residing is various parts of the USA and other who are visiting from other countries who may not have seen each other in a while to meet and mingle.  The popular line from Nadia Batson’s hits Soca Song “So Long” was most prominent throughout the afternoon into evening.

Entertainment was provided Lennox Picou known from Leston Paul and the New York Connection. Picou has be indoctrinated into the Point Fortin family through his marriage to Merlita London of Richardson Street in Mahaica. Other entertainers were Eddie Charles, formerly of the Big Band Traffic, Point Fortin “Homeboy”, General Grant, Poser and others.
